On Feb. 25, House Republicans passed a budget resolution that orders the Energy and Commerce Committee, which oversees Medicare and Medicaid, to find $880 billion in savings from fiscal years 2025 through 2034. The budget resolution does not direct how the committee must achieve cost cuts by $880 billion.  But since Medicare and Medicaid are the largest programs by far under the Committee’s oversight, it is assumed that most cuts will come from Medicaid (versus Medicare which is considered to be a sacred cow).

While this remains a very fluid process, if one assumes that any final bill that ultimately gets passed by the Senate and House continues to contain similar directives to remove $880 billion in spending, most experts believe the result will involve steep cuts to Medicaid.  This in turn will reduce direct Medicaid payments to hospitals significantly as well as also create a large increase in the number of uninsured workers by narrowing the eligibility for Medicaid.

Inovi Healthcare cannot solve this impending large spending gap but we can help very significantly reduce the cost of all of your lateral transfer and safe patient handling products.  Our top of the line single patient use air matts, bolsters, incontinent pads and slings provide savings of 25% plus which is much even much greater for reusable products.  Furthermore, using these products reduces the number of caregivers needed and time needed for transfers thereby increasing staff productivity while reducing caregiver and patient injuries.   And there is significant evidence that these products generally improve patient outcomes by decreasing pain during transfers, decreases the incidence of ventilator associated pneumonia and pressure ulcers (assuming the products are used for turning and early mobilization) and increasing early mobilization.

We provide all of these savings and benefits without any diminution in quality due to our joint venture with one of the largest medical textile manufacturers worldwide.  Our factories employ 500 plus highly experienced, dedicated workers who have been exclusively making lateral transfer and patient handling products for the past 15 years and other textiles for the 15 years before that.  We use FDA registered, ISO approved, energy efficient factories in Sri Lanka and Singapore.  Neither country is under threat of US tariff impositions unlike products from China and Mexico.  Our unique joint venture structure provides us with a very streamlined operation resulting in limited transfer pricing so we can provide the best value and fastest delivery and overall most responsiveness.
